This seems like a good time to mention again how partental-authority nude punishments work. Especially since it just came up in another thread.
Parents can’t actually register their children, that’s mainly to prevent then from picking extreme registrations that would last long into their children’s adult lives. It just didn’t seem plausible to me that people would stand for a law that worked that way.
But they can impose nudity (often called “taking away clothes” when used as a punishment) for an arbitrary length of time, as long as their child is a dependent, even if they’re a legal adult. That last part mainly an invention of necessity, since the pictures are obviously of adults, and claiming they’re minors in captions would be both unbelievable in many cases and unpalatable to many people.
So yeah, even though this young woman is legally an adult and has a job, she apparently can’t support herself completely (at least not to her own standards) and probably still lives with her father (hey, housing isn’t cheap nowadays). So yes, he can still take her clothes away.
Which is as should be. If you live under another person’s roof, you live according to their rules.
Girl should be happy her father doesn’t order her to sell her clothes to pay him back the money she apparently took out of his account without his permission.
Or go to the police and report her for theft.
