Come to think of it, being high school age has gotta be pretty sweet for girls like this. Just get permission and boom, naked for a day. Unlike when they get older and have to register. They wouldn’t have the freedom to be nude one day and dressed the next.
Well, part of growing up is experimenting with adulthood in a more limited environment before doing the real thing. And besides, you can still be subject to your parent’s nudity rules after high school if you still lived at home. Or the school’s rules if you’re taking classes anywhere.
I’m not sure in this instance that it is considered a punishment. I mean, parents have the final say on how their kids dress. Perhaps she just had a crazy idea for the party and got permission to do it.
Must be pretty uncommon, though she seems concerned that someone else might go nude too and ruin her idea.
Like Ekjetter said, it doesn’t have to be a punishment, parents (and schools) can restrict wearing clothes for any reason. Using it as a punishment might be the most common, but schools could do it for more education reasons (like having everyone naked for biology class) and parents could do it for any reason at all. For instance I’m sure it would be common for permanently naked parents to want the whole family naked, but either for legal reasons, or just because there’s no need, the kids probably wouldn’t be registered, since parental authority is enough.
But it uses the same legal framework, so as this girl explains, officially the parents have to make the decision, so she couldn’t just decide she’d rather get dressed later that evening, at least not without calling up her parents or something to approve it.
Maybe the parents would set some ground rules when asked. Like, being naked for the rest of the day, or for 24 hours after the request is approved, to negate any confusion in those circumstances.
I guess it makes sense, cause you have people who get sentenced to permanent nudity and then you have those that register on their own.
