Once again gonna do some long-put-off updates of plug-ins and such on my WordPress install. Let me know if anything breaks.
P.S. I know I’m also pretty behind on submissions. Hopefully now that my computer situation is stable I’ll be able to make some progress catching up, but it’s not going to be easy.

Would it be an idea to introduce a moratorium on new contributions for a few weeks in order for you to have time to process the backlog?
I’ve thought about it, but I fear one (or both) of two things things could happen:
After I open up submissions again people send in a month’s worth of stuff at once, and I’m immediately backlogged again.
Some people who contribute regularly get out of the habit and never start again.
I should also clarify, not since the very beginning, has it been the case that I didn’t have some pictures waiting to be posted, and that’s mostly a good thing, it means I can rotate submissions from different people and have a buffer in case I don’t get anything one week or whatever.
The problem is that this buffer has grown rather too large, and gotten quite disorganized. I have a lot of stuff still setting in my inbox for instance. Downloading that and sorting it into folders based on contributor isn’t that much work, but I’ll be honest it’s not fun. Picking captions to post (or creating them) is the enjoyable part of running this blog, the amount administrative work that comes with it is realistically small, but man is it easy to put off until it becomes a big mess.
Yes I see where you’re coming from, put that way a moratorium could cause more problems than it solves. Having too many is better than having too few!
