At first I thought the pieces were falling all over the place, proving your point, but I guess those must be the ones that have been captured. Does seem like it would be a problem though. Maybe they’ve got some kind of adhesive on the “board” in addition to the paint?
New chess rule. No tickling the board. No making her laugh.

There are travel sets that have an adhesive disk on the bottom of the pieces.
