That is actually an excellent policy. It should be the policy of all clothing stores. Even better would be to provide lockers in the entryway and require all clothing be deposited when entering the store. In fact, do that with all stores, not just clothing stores. With shopping malls, it could be implemented on a collective basis at the mall entrances. I would definitely support such policy in the real world.
Perhaps you remembered it, but I did a caption on a store that worked that way too, and I have to say that policy makes more sense. If dressing rooms aren’t for undressing in private, why have them at all?
This actually makes sense and isn’t completely outlandish:
1. If all shoppers deposit all their clothes and belongings into a locker before entering a mall, then there’s virtually no chance for theft from the shopper or the mall.
2. Why do people constantly go into a room to undress, undress, dress in new clothes, undress, dress back in your old clothes, go outside to pick new clothes and then repeat the process?
What happens if your clothes get stolen?
