This needs a part two, where after lunch at least a couple other people join her or at least a few people pointedly complement her on her bravery and her beauty. This changes her attitude and she openly looks forward to next week’s clothing optional Friday. The manager decides to give another go and it goes well (with or without additional participation) and becomes a permanent thing.
Since she has to go around the departments anyway, I thin k her best response would be to sass all the “boring” people who aren’t alive enough to try something off the wall once and a while, and bemoan the fact that “HR is never going to take fun-at-work type suggestions seriously anymore.”
Bet you that gets a few people peel out of their clothes after lunch!
