Oh no I am bursting for a pee. It will be really embarrassing to have it pouring down my legs, but I suppose it will add realism.
Should I spread my legs or keep them together.
Roman crucifixion was typically done nude. The exposure was part of the mental torture to accompany the physical torture. The loin cloth was added in paintings/drawings for those who didn’t want that sort of portrayal. Most were done similar to what is pictured here, with ropes rather than nails. The condemned could take days to finally die (typically from asphyxia, although exposure to cold or heat could sometimes be the final killer.) The nails used in Jesus’ case would speed the process via blood loss.
Even though most churches celebrate Good Friday, likely the more accurate would be Good Wednesday. But that is another discussion.
