  1. It may not be permitted to cover themselves with fabric, so they should ditch the sheets… but it’s absolutely permissible to cover yourself with another person, and they aren’t genetically related, so they should take turns on top of each other to block anyone from seeing their genitals, until they feel more comfortable having them on display.

  2. Trying to figure out why people are so opposed to sibling sex. Im not saying get married and make babies together – but who better to learn with than someone you are actually connected to, and who you know cares about you. But we prefer some “basic stranger” – who usually winds up giving you a not very good time, and then leaves.

    • Every argument against sex between adult siblings either “it’s immoral and I don’t like it” or “it could result in birth defects”. The former is the same stupid argument made by people opposed to interracial or homosexual couples, the latter was how eugenicists justified doing terrible things (and is also irrelevant when it comes to same-sex siblings).

    • Well, it depends who you ask. But from what I know, but don’t hold me to it, sibling sex was not permitted for Jews, yet gentiles were apparently allowed to have sibling sex. I would need to double-check this fact though. Although, most people over time who read such laws assume they’re laws that apply to all, whereas a lot of laws only applied to Jews.

      • The first known prohibition of sibling sex was part of the giving of the law while the Israelites were journeying through the wilderness between Egypt and their Promised Land. Prior to this time it was not considered a problem and in fact was quite common. Over time, that prohibition has spread and been adopted by nearly all people.

        Why?
Adam and Eve were created perfect. After the Fall, the process of death and decay started. Every generation since, DNA had degraded more. By the time this law was given it was to a point or would soon be, that close relations (siblings, parent/child, aunt/nephew, uncle/niece, grandparent/grandchild) would pose more of a risk of birth defects. Some add cousins to that list, but that has never truly been a problem, and in most places has not been prohibited. The people at that time did not know why the prohibition was given. That was figured out much much later with scientific advances.

        • MLC777, thanks for the info above, I always appreciate Biblical discussion, especially on matters not well understood today such as nudity and sexuality.

I had just heard about an interesting caveat whereby gentiles were allowed to continue having sibling sex, but Jews were nonetheless still prohibited from engaging in it. However, whether this changed in large part after Jesus’ time, I do not know. And as time went on, it seemed to be condemned in more and more places, possibly because of the birth defects in the children born, not because of any moral issue per se.

  3. “Keep things just naked” — that’s great

Also if we’re looking at technicalities, there are a lot of “bonding” activities they could do that don’t involve piv..
