Sad but true: Due to modern sensitivities, the character is now known as “Huttslayer Leia”. But I too think Slave Girl Leia is the way it should be, in the context of the movie.
In consideration of how this (highly sexualized) part was portrayed in the movie, this is closer to how it should have been “costumed.” In fact, the skirt should have been significantly reduced in width, to be more of an eye drawing decoration rather than a covering. But in order to costume and play that part properly would have required an R rating.
