  1. As a political science friend of mine is often heard to say, “what the politicians give, the politicians can take away.” Actually, I kind of think that there will still be tension between the majority clothed and the minority nude until the number grows big enough that they’re a voting block that could swing an election. Think women’s vote, civil rights, gay rights. The majority nobily give the privilege to the minority, then, when they can swing elections, the privilege becomes an inalienable right, though some always refuse to see it that way.

    • A pretty good assessment, I’d say. The current political situation regarding permanent nudity is an interesting topic. I expect it’s as you say though, probably still a contentious issue, just not anything I’ve ever explored in captions that much. (I know you’ve done a little more with that in your books.)

Generally my assumption is that it has at least a minimal level of acceptance throughout the US by this point, but there would certainly still be people who aren’t happy about it and who want to do away with the whole thing.

    • Speaking of which, I just noticed I failed to credit the author on this one.
      (Fixed, it’s PNFan).

And yeah, it’s a good one. At first reading it I thought, “uh-oh, I’m sure about these temporary registration changes…”, but then it turns out the law was repealed after abuse, which is perfect.
