One of the traditions of the prom is the election of the Prom King and Prom Queen. It is a sort of honor as they are chosen as the leading or most popular of the students to “reign over” the prom. I don’t believe it has any actual duties attached.
That doesn’t really make sense. As nobody knows who the prom queen will be until the prom, so how can she start out the year naked?
On the other hand it would make sense to extend the time forward and have her stay naked for her ‘reign’ which ends when the next year’s queen is elected (provided she was not a senior when elected). Her final duty is to crown the new queen, and in a tribute to the original naked queen, to strip the new queen.
When this was instituted, the former queen was to resume her clothed status, but she said she didn’t want to change this close to the end of the school year, so it was agreed that the rule would specify it continue to the end of the school. Unfortunately (or fortunately) instead of “end of the school year” the motion at the school board specified “end of school”, which was intended to mean the same thing. Since both the previous and current queens were elected as juniors, this didn’t make any difference.
However, a couple of years later, the unthinkable happened and a freshman was elected. A cabal lead by the unsuccessful junior contestants for queen, who wished to embarrass her, insisted that the wording was explicit and it was her time at school and not the break between years that governed. They were successful, and she had to remain naked for her full high school career.
Take it to the next level.
Since the wording does not specify “this school,” when she goes on to college she is expected to continue to remain naked – until she is finished with (all) school.
After college, she could get a job as a teacher or professor. As the wording does not specify “attending school”, she’ll have to stay naked at her work, too.
I love Origin stories in porn. It helps make sense of the sexy world they live in.
I want more about the absolute first PN EVENT! The one that started it all.
It would be interesting, but at this point I’ve pretty much decided to leave the origins mysterious. I’m not sure one story to explain it all could do the setting justice. Maybe it kind of arose simultaneously in multiple places?
But either way, you’ll probably have to look to other sources for that. I doubt I’ll ever present anything official on this.

Start out the school year naked and start earlier and earlier.
