It seems I’ve lost access to my Discord account, for the time being at least. Needless to say, this is a pain in the ass since I can’t even manage my server. But I’m mostly posting this to let anyone who may message me there know why I’m not responding. Sorry, this happened very suddenly. Anyway they’re demanding “verification”, and it seems my prepaid phone isn’t good enough for them, so I’m stuck.
I will make further efforts to resolve this at a later date, but I can’t make any promises. I’m certainly not getting a new phone plan just to please some idiot at Discord HQ.

I’m afraid not. I don’t have many ideas what else I can do. I admit haven’t tried contacting support yet, but I have super low expectations for that paying off. My limited past experience with them has not been good.
Maybe contact them and look into alternative chat platforms. Not sure what else to add.
That sucks. I wish that there were good alternatives, but sadly Discord pretty much has a monopoly on the chat stuff.
Guilded is better
Maybe in some ways, but they don’t allow sexually explicit content. That’s obviously a deal-breaker for my purposes.
They do allow it just not pedophilia and other messed up stuff
Different parts of their rules say different things (as highlighted here by someone else confused about it). But logically, the stricter of the two must apply and the narrower rules are redundant.
Whether they enforce it I have no idea, but I’m not interested in relying on the admins looking the other way.
