ok, I have an idea for a new feature of sorts…
the idea is an addition to the tag combination feature and it is being able to exclude particular tags by typing “-” in front of the tag you wanna exclude instead of typing “+”, for example: (new)-male
Yeah, that would be nice. I was pleased to have the tag combination feature, since that’s already a step up from what tumblr had, but it’s still a bit more limited than I’d like. Unfortunately, that’s about as far as the built-in tag feature goes.*
So adding anything more advanced would depend on finding a plugin (or being skilled enough to make one, which I’m probably not), and I haven’t been able to find anything like that.
*Actually it does have one more feature I didn’t advertise. Doesn’t seem terribly useful, but you can also use a comma to mean “or”. So for example “topless,bottomless” would return all posts with either of those tags.

For a brief time, there was nackteweltordnung, which was really just a German-language version of this site’s concept, but with its own photos and captions.
I see that NWO has replied with the one you wanted, but I had a different captioning blog in my favorites:

Edit: Alright, based on the poll, it looks like there’s a serious problem here. I have a pretty good idea what’s wrong now (it’s the cache), and I’m looking into solutions. Creating an account is the only work-around I can suggest right at the moment.
I still think you could have raised this issue a little more politely, but now that I see how wide-spread it is, I can understand your frustration.
You know what would have been cool about that Tumblr fiasco? If they gave up classifying good nipples vs. bad nipples and just allowed all nipples. They can leave in place all those prudish rules about genitals and sex and still make a statement in favor of freedom.
Their list of exceptions is growing bigger and bigger: breastfeeding: OK, protests: OK, art: OK, medical images: OK yet Tumblr and other sites refuse to say “Yeah, topless is OK for both men and women, I guess”. After all those exceptions, what’s left? Hardcore porn? That would be disallowed by other rules anyway. Plain topless pictures that are not artsy enough or protest-y enough? (Like many of the pictures on this site) Well, I don’t know why they need to forbid that kind of picture, yet they do.
Changing that would be a small but a valuable change in (internet) society.
Too bad I can’t be bothered to send them a message to prod them in the right direction, I’ve never had an account there. If someone cares enough, they could copy this message (polish it a little) and send it to Tumblr.
You only forgot all those crazy fundamentalists, who think female nipples are as bad as snuff porn… They may even like the later more, if the victim isn’t naked…
Yeah, that still would have been a sad decision from my perspective, but it would have at least been a little forward-thinking at the same time. It’s almost kind of ironic, tumblr was best known for two groups of users: porn and nudity fans like us and the social justice crowd. With their “female-presenting nipple” ban, they managed to alienate both at once. (Despite a rather hallow attempt to pay lip service to the latter by putting “presenting” in there).
Has anyone else had trouble using using thmblr’s export tool? Of course I also used TumblThree, so I don’t really care, I was just doing it as a test. But I worry for people who didn’t plan ahead, or didn’t hear about other options.
I’d been getting an incomplete file when I tried to download the archive earlier, tumblr support told me their server was busy (gee, wonder why?) and I might have to wait a few days. Now I get an “expired link” error when I try to download it. Made a new export request, and now I wait another couple days for them to “process” it. Will this cycle just keep repeating?
Also kind of concerning, right at the moment it seems direct access to adult blogs, e.g. somenaughtyblog.tumblr.com is completely disabled. They said previously explicit blogs would have the option to keep posting non-adult content, so that’s unexpected. Maybe it’s just a temporary hitch while they rejigger things… I donno.
Tumblr has just switched on their “safe mode” for everybody, so all blogs flagged “NSFW” or “adult” are now only accessible for their authors. I can still see new content in by timeline, but not accesss any of the blogs – if you see the list of followed blogs, they are easy detectable by the icon. One in my list has clear porn, but has never flagged themself – that’s still freely available…
You can probably free your blog by deleting everythink “not suitable for preschool kids”.
Temporary glitch? Not really – they want to get rid of even the smallest bit of “lewd” content at all cost. Bad for you, if your cat has the wrong fur color… or you draw foxed… In German we say “they shoot with cannons on sparrows”. This is more like “nukes on flies”.
The thing is, they specifically said people with NSFW blogs would not be banned and would be able to continue using their accounts for other purposes if they wished. But if the blogs are hidden from everyone, then for all practical purposes they’ve gone back on their word.
Doesn’t really affect me since I only have a presence on tumblr to advertise my new home, but it’s really gonna suck for people like artists who posted a mixture of adult and general audience stuff and marked their blogs adult to be be on the safe side.
At the time I optimistically suggested it might be a glitch, it was acting pretty funny, going into a re-direct loop. The current behavior seems much more intentional, so it does not look good.
Well, I suppose they were technically honest. By making your blog invisible, the lewd posts can indeed only be viewed by the account owner.
It’s complete BS. I can’t even put up perfectly SFW material just to refer people to a new place. Well, I technically can, but not in a way that would allow anyone to see it. Even my story blog, which has nothing on that violate the new rules, is inaccessible. Why? I don’t know. Probably because what affects the primary blog rolls over to the secondaries.
I might as well just say to hell with it and delete the whole thing. The only thing keeping me from doing that is the promise of other sites allowing you to transfer your whole Tumblr account to them. Once they’re all up, I’m outta Tumblr for good.
Your followers should still be able to see what you post. That’s something at least. I’m definitely seeing posts on my dash from accounts I can’t access directly (including a few naughty pics that slipped through the filter). So it’s still useful to post a “We’ve Moved” message for your current fans.
I suppose you could submit an appeal for the story blog, but I don’t blame you a bit for being completely out of patience with them.
Heh, I just figured out how to fix the story blog myself. Had to mess around with the source element on one of the switches to get it out of “explicit mode,” which was disabled months ago for some stupid reason, but it’s now perfectly visible. Sadly, the same trick won’t work on the primary blog; I guess if one measly thing on the blog gets flagged, the whole blog gets disabled. Oh well. My Tumblr account is on borrowed time regardless.
So, as I’ve said before (and most of you have no doubt noticed) I’m not very good at the technical side of web usage. But I’m going to try to find a way to post or at least submit, pics & captions again. Tumblr banning adult content is a real kick in the teeth (or much lower on the anatomy if you prefer that analogy) but I would hate to stop doing it altogether. If I can’t get my own blog or page running to my satisfaction, what would be the best way to submit pics & captions now?

I use this site for most of it. I’m not aware of any text faker that does realistic photo messages though, so I do that part myself in Paint Shop Pro. I could upload some art I have to help with that if anybody wants it, but it may not be too much use unless you’re using PSP too.

It’s been a while since I investigated this, some of those must be new. I see some of them do have the ability to include pictures now, which is cool. I’ll probably just keep doing what I have been, but this is a good resource for anyone else who want to do that kind of picture.

Might be worth a tag, but if I were to add that, I suppose its counterpart, “strict” permanent nudity should get one too. Yeah, I understand what you’re saying. It’s not a bad idea, though I don’t particularly think “functional” would be a very good name for the tag since anyone who hasn’t read this discussion would be completely confused by it. Something like “seminude” or “partial” would probably be clearer.

As for the Treatment captions, I suppose some of them might still exist on tumblr, if anyone reblogged them. Other than that I really don’t know. Since there were posted towards the end of her blog’s run they’re less likely to have gotten picked up by anyone I guess. If you search for her name you find a few collections of her stuff people have put together on ImageFap or the like, but I didn’t notice any of the Treatment captions included. Seems to be older stuff.

Following up the comment on the law about simple nudity in England and Wales, I have just seen this update on the situation in Scotland. It looks like there has been a significant shift in the way the law there will be interpreted and applied. Many thanks to the people in British Naturism who have been spearheading this work!

That would turn the place too much into a graphic porn fest. There are other places for that.
As to how you’d handle it, probably the same as in a nudist resort right now (where it’s exceedingly rare): find a bathroom or somewhere else private out of public sight and take care of business.
Don’t, as some PN literature suggests, go do it in plain sight of everyone.
Thanks for responding to that comment. I get variations of that question semi-regularly and I never have a very good answer. I was thinking about what to say, but then ending up forgetting about it. But your answer is at least as good as anything I could have said.
I will add that I have occasionally considered some kind of spin-off “naughty world order” where permanently naked people are also allowed to have sex in public, but I don’t really have the time or energy to maintain an additional blog, and I prefer to keep this one focused on nudity as such rather than sex. So I’ll just leave that idea for someone else to explore if they want to.
If anybody wants to do that, they certainly have my blessing to borrow the terminology, call it a spin-off, etc. I’d even give you a shout-out. But between time constraints, and limited interest, I doubt I’ll ever get around to doing something like that myself.

Well, one of the things that I was gonna suggest was:
Why not take a screen shot of a Power Ranger in their morph suit and have the caption talk about how the ranger/one of the rangers in the screenshot is illegally clothed due to technical stuff relating to the morphers. Whether it be because “Morphers weren’t built to be able to recognize “Clothing Status”” or “The PN’s morpher isn’t working correctly!”
As for the images I submitted, The Red Ranger is usually the leader, so maybe she would feel weird since she is the first Red Ranger to be a PN and also, Most (if not all) of the time Red Rangers are guys, so she is truly breaking the mold here.

Have you given any thought to bringing back Nothing to Hide?
Yeah, but I haven’t decided too much yet. Other than that want to do it sooner or later (preferably sooner). One issue is I’d like to get at least some of the old interviews back online (they’re currently available in the tumblr archive only) to provide context before attempting new ones, but at the same time I sort of hate to flood the front page with old stuff. I’ll probably need to learn a few new WordPress tricks to make that work smoothly.
Then I need to figure out how I’ll do the interviews themselves on this blog. I have some ideas, but nothing definite. And I’ll have the create a new “Nothing To Hide” home page it explain the concept, because that’s one of the few parts of my old tumblr I neglected to back up offline. None of that are a big problem, but all those details add up to enough that I haven’t got around to sorting it out.

Just recently returned to my first skinny dip in the local river late at night. There was a twist when I was prepping myself to swim I heard a group of older graduates swimming nearby and I swam with them not nude at first. 15 or so minutes later I ditched my suit once I had a difficult time of jumping off from a high point because I figured it would give me the courage of doing so because no one else was swimming in a naked state.
I just added a suitable header image to this page. Another WordPress feature I’ve never used before, so let me know if it does anything weird, etc.
I thought it set a nice tone, so you can imagine we’re all sitting around naked chatting about things.
I have had some interesting experiences with real life nudity.
One day I entered my roommates room to find his girlfriend completely naked, we’ll call her T. I pretended not to notice, but when the subject came up, I stated that it didn’t bother me. So from that day forward, any time she’d come over to visit, she’d just take her clothes off at the door and fold them up nicely. Most days she’d just wear a shirt and pants. She figured that way she could get naked faster.
We loved this girl.
I invited a couple of female friends over and told them that we were having a naked day and not to be bothered by it. They asked if they could join in the naked part and I figured, why not?
They buzzed and we let them in. Since we lived on the third floor, we knew it would take them a while to get to our door, but after several minutes, I began to wonder where they were. I look out the peephole on my front door and there they are, in the hallway, taking their clothes off!
Once they had stripped fully, that’s when they knocked.
These are two real life experiences with nudity that I can recall just off hand. There are more and they’re always fun.

I know that instances of brazen nudity are rare and I cherish those moments. Even the ones where I’ve been the only naked person in mixed company.
That one friend, T, would have fit perfectly in a PN world. She would be naked for every visit, sure, but she wasn’t shy in the least.
I recall one time that we were all playing some Guitar Hero and her and I were playing in the nude. She was lying on the bed behind me, with her boyfriend. She called my name and I turned to look at her. She threw her leg up and suddenly I was looking at all things naked.
I couldn’t help but laugh, as she was trying to distract me from the song I was about to play, but to this day, I still remember the sight of her pussy and her tight little butthole mixed with the huge smile on her face.
My cousin looked like he was going to shit himself. He was sitting right next to her!
Another time, after looking into the laws, we discovered that anyone can be naked in their car, as long as the windows were rolled up all the way.
I didn’t see this myself, but her best friend, a guy, told us that after our conversation about that, she rode in the car completely naked for two hours as they traveled to visit her dad.
He even told me that she didn’t bother to get dressed for the weekend they spent at his cabin.
Yeah. She would fit in a PN world and she would be a voluntary.
So much freedom… Here driving naked would be seen as “nudity within sight of a public road” and therefore illegal.
Even worse if you got pulled over or had an accident and have to leave the car.
If it were legal, I’d probably never wear clothes (weather permitting) except at work or shopping (I doubt most stores would like naked customers, especially at first).

As far as I know, no one uses nude punishments in the real world yet.
But if nude punishments were to occur in real life, it’d most likely be just making someone wear a skirt with nothing on underneath or something.
But did you know that there are actually people who are afraid of clothing, the fear is called vestiophobia, or is it spelt vestiphobia? well either way, there are people that have a fear of clothing so if PN registration was a thing, they’d most definitely sign up.
I learned about vesti(o)phobia from a small blue book that I have, and the book is titled “The Bathroom Trivia Book” and the page is page 82.

I’m not scared of clothing (in general, some items definitely make me wonder what sadist came up with it), but my senses are oversensitive (not just touch, but smell, hearing, and vision as well) to some things and that includes seams in clothing, rough textures (think wool, roughly spun cotton, etc.), making a lot of clothes (well, most) pretty uncomfortable to wear.

Never heard of it, and if it did happen it’d be confined to the home as public nudity is effectively illegal just about anywhere, and even where not subjecting a minor to it would be considered child abuse.
You may well think that nudity is “effectively illegal just about anywhere” but actually simple nudity is legal in England and Wales. Public sexual activity is illegal, but just going about your normal business in not, in itself, breaking the law. The Home Office clarified this point a few years ago, and the Police recently updated their training and issued guidelines to ensure all Police Officers know that simple nudity is not an offense.
And there are lots of places in Germany where public nudity is acceptable, or even required.
yes, there are places. But even in the UK people are still arrested left and right for being naked in public, and have a hard time getting those records cleared.
And that’s the problem. If I’m legally naked, yet get arrested and end up with a criminal record I lose my job (which requires me to have a clean record, as do pretty much all jobs in my profession) and won’t find another one until that record is cleared, which can take years.
That’s why it’s effectively illegal, even if technically legal. As long as police enforce non-existent laws, courts don’t stop them from doing so, and the general public doesn’t even know something is legal, as long as employers won’t allow you to do what’s legal, it might as well be illegal.
For example in the Netherlands, it’s legal to be naked “out of sight of a public road where appropriate”. But that is not defined, so a police officer can on the spot decide something is ‘inappropriate’ or ‘within sight of a public road’ and arrest you.
Getting those charges dropped takes a very long time and a lot of money.
Like a few years ago when a group of nude sunbathers on a yacht well outside published shipping lanes got arrested for ‘illegal public nudity’ and slapped by a police judge with hefty fines. A patrol boat had spotted what looked like a ship in trouble on the horizon, approached, and spotted the naked people on board peacefully laying in the sun using powerful binoculars, then decided that that was enough for an arrest for ‘illegal public nudity’.
Took 2 years until a higher court overturned that clearly inappropriate decision, and a team of lawyers from the Dutch naturist foundation specialising in such cases (the fact that there is such a team should tell you enough, they handle quite a few).
So even where technically legal, it’s simply too risky to take the plunge and go skinny dipping. Heck, sometimes published nude beaches disappear from one day to the next, people being ordered out and fined where the day before there were police looking on and waving.

Actually – no. To the best of my knowledge, nobody has been arrested just for being naked in public in the UK for several years now. Feel free to provide counter-examples if I’m mistaken.
It used to happen occasionally – there were nude walkers and cyclists who ended up in court – but since British Naturism started to get involved, every single one of these cases was dismissed.
There are still a few cases where people have been engaging in sexual behaviour in public, but even these tend to be fairly extreme examples.
The big problem for ordinary members of the public is not getting arrested but receiving a ‘caution’. Occasionally people are threatened with arrest (even though it is not permitted) and then they are given the offer of being ‘let off with a caution’. If you are ignorant of the law here, you might accept, and then the caution is on your record, when standing firm would have produced no police record.

Sorry – just thought – to clarify the previous post: in the UK, you do not get a police record for being arrested. You get a police record for accepting a caution, or for being found guilty of some offense – and being naked is not a offense.

It’s not legal, though, at least not when schools do it. The teachers responsible have faced consequences, though not necessarily as severe as you’d expect if it happened in a the US.
Legal or not, this type of punishment must be known in the culture on some level since there have been multiple incidents like that. So I suspect it has been used by parents as well, no idea if it’s legal in that case.
I guess nudity is somewhat less of a big deal in India (possibility an uninformed opinion) but these stories still seem quite cruel, so needless to say I don’t think it’s acceptable.
This is different from NWO universe where everyone generally understands nudity to be a valid form of punishment, so even if they’re upset to get such a punishment, think it’s unfair, etc, they accept it with no more distress than someone would have about getting grounded or similar in real life. Even forgetting for a moment that the real cases have mostly involved children, that level of humiliation and distress is certainly not a turn-on for me, which is why in the fantasy world people pretty much take it in stride.
If anyone knows more about nude punishments in India, e.g. can confirm or refute my thought that it must be somewhat cultural, I’d be interested to hear about it.
yes, in India there are people who are permanently naked, but not the general population.
They’re a small group of monks who give up all wordly possessions including their clothes and survive solely through gifts of food, shelter, and if needed medical care while roaming the streets from town to town.
Huh. Didn’t even think of that. So they’ve got nude punishments and voluntary permanent nudity.
I can’t speak for all parts of India however in Mumbai nudity in general is definitely a big deal, the west is far more open about showing skin, go to a beach and the women will be wearing T-shirts and pants that stop just above the knee, the difference is that children in general get far less respect, the culture is big on respecting elders but the side-effect is the younger you are the less people see you as a fully functioning person, an example from my school this was in 3rd grade, a boy crapped his pants and i mean absolute explosion of crap, they sent his pants to be washed and sent him back without them the teacher just made him sit out the rest of the day sans pants, he was extremely embarrassed by it it was not normal and he never lived it down pretty sure he switched schools at the end of the year, point is the reason this was OK is because he was a kid it was an all boys school so why does it matter, no thought was given to what the kid felt about it cause he was a kid and unimportant.
