Of course we are only hearing her side of the story. She said she printed up a few flyers, but not how she followed up. I wonder if her mother thought she was just dogging it – not distributing enough flyers, not going out and actively seeking work. Perhaps the phone call reminded the mother that nude punishments are now legal and she realized that requiring her daughter to be naked on this (and all future) jobs would
a) teach her to buckle down when given a task, and
b) get her more work when the word gets out that she works nude.
Not bad parenting, but obviously she will have to explain her reasons to her daughter once she calms down enough to actually listen.
To be fair, even though I’m an old perv myself, I think she’s got a legitimate complaint.
