On the other hand, many years ago I was working alone in a lab during a night shift and decided to go naked for a while. The lab chair wasn’t particularly cold but it did stick painfully to my bare bottom!
In a lab you should wear closed toed shoes and a lab coat for safety. Glass breaks, and toxic chemicals are common in this environment.
