    probably would switch mottos if they expand the business.

  2. I like the pose, and the story, but I feel the word “available” would come under the strict anti-harrasment clauses of the PN laws, as a workplace enforced relationship status.

    • I agree that it would be, but I decided that the motto only applied to the ice cream, ‘available’ meaning that they try to have all their flavours available all the time, and that the extended application is strictly the position of the server (and her fellow servers), not the company.

      Alternatively, the company uses the motto as a sort of mnemonic for their customer service policy: the servers must be polite, cheerful and helpful (sweet), registered permanudes (natural), and must be willing to spend the time and effort necessary to ensure that the customer gets the flavour and amount of ice cream that best fills their need (available). This young lady, however, makes the statement without explaining the original application, for her own purposes.
