Actually, this looks to be rather drawn out. In my Permanude Universe, a shoplifter or DUI can be offered a choice. The arresting officer can offer them a plea bargain to sign, two years PN, or they can take their chances with the court tomorrow and maybe end up with jail time and PN probation after it.
It’s amazing how the law moves when all that anyone is loosing is their clothes, no expensive jail time. No court costs. Fast, cheap justice, just what the law and order type want to see.
Oh, and the pretty naked girls are easy on the eye as well.

Wow! Lenient judgement for a DUI. Only bottomless and such a quick release. I guess in this society, DUI is not a big deal.
