Sorry, still experimenting. I may have returned to my old theme a little prematurely.
As you might have guessed, this means my “overloading” issues are not entirely over. Because of that, I still need to keep a good number of posts going up for a realistic test, but since I’ll be busy with technical junk too, expect to see more “classics” (tumblr re-posts) than usual.

To be honest, I like this theme better. The relevant info is bigger and easier to read.
It’s growing on me a little bit. It was a pretty shocking at first, but since I changed it gray (which, silly as it sounds is kind of my “Brand” now), it’s not that hard to get used to.
So to fill you in, I switched to this initially to see if it would help performance, seemed like a long shot because my old theme certainly looked simple enough… But it was actually the last change I made before my host gave me a clean bill of health.
Asked again after switching back and they said “Still overloading, though not as bad as before”. So I gotta wonder now, did it really make a difference? I guess I’ll find out tomorrow when I ask again after leaving this running a bit.
If it turns out the old theme really was a performance hog, I’m gonna have to experiment with a few others before settling on one, still, it’s decent. My main gripe at the moment is the black border… not sure why, but I don’t care for that or think it adds anything. That sort of thing ought to be tweakable though, just haven’t messed with it yet.
