  1. The whole point of hula-hoop is to see the body movements involved, bare breasts are part of the original cultural context.. it loses the appeal covered up..

    You’d have generated the proper respect for your skill topless of course.. but nude is even better than the original grass-skirted exercise.

    In fact such hoops should be banned while covered from the waist up as “cultural misappropriation” or some such SJW term.

    • Hula was originally topless, but I’m not so sure if the same is true of hula hoops. Apparently hoop dancing did have traditional origins in various cultures (not Polynesian, AFAIK) before the modern plastic version came along, but sadly I can’t find any citation for it having been done topless. Certainly seems like a missed opportunity if not.

  2. Watching the way a naked woman’s body moves while she is hula hooping can be quite enjoyable. There is absolutely nothing involved to make fun of, even if she can’t do it very well.
