The judge thought it was funny, and the cop clearly sympathized since he would know more than anyone else how distracting a delicious donut sign is. But they all knew they couldn’t let Lana completely off the hook since it would set a bad precedent. Luckily, she just so happened to be considering registering for permanent nudity, so they had a perfect means to save face and punish her without really punishing her.
