“What’s the bad thing?” her friend asked.
“I wish they would pay more attention to my feet. I’m barefoot; they’re not.”
“Oh! so you are Shelley!” I replied. “I must admit that apart from looking you in the eye when we’re speaking, my gaze is usually focused somewhere between your neck and upper thighs and I don’t generally notice anything further down.”
