This ending feels like how the original Ocean’s 11 from 1960 had to end with the crew getting caught because film guidelines at the time stipulated that a major motion picture couldn’t show crime paying off.
Stephen told a close friend but this friend also knew her and her family and thought Stephen had forced himself on the girl and committed a crime. He rang her dad. Her parents called her and demanded she go back so they could check on her, which she did. She gave her account of the incident, even though it was very embarrassing recounting her private life to her parents. They accepted her version as they could see she was happy and not at all traumatized.
I have to admit, the first 3 lines of the last paragraph in part 2 did kinda make it sound like he was. Didn’t really notice on my first read before posting, but after others pointed it out, yeah I can see how some would read it that way.

But how on earth did the parents find out?
My guess would be either Stephen asked her parents to approve their relationship or they saw her post on the NWO blog.
Lol

Also, Stephen is not a paedophile as some have wrongly accused him. No ‘character’ in any of my posts is nor ever will be a paedophile.

Agreed
Sad for uncle Stephen, but good for her that her parents are looking out for her best interests.
