Reminds me of something that really happened during the pandemic. As she explained later, my wife’s boss has a “relaxed attitude” to clothing at home and usually does the housework in the nude. One morning she’d logged in to a zoom meeting and forgetting she was naked switched on the camera and accidentally displayed her bare breasts to everyone.
Just found out that wasn’t the whole story. My wife mentioned this woman when talking about work and I casually asked if it was the boss lady who came to a team meeting topless. It turns out that my wife had p.m’ed her “Pam you’re topless!” but instead of switching off the camera or closing the laptop Pam panicked, put her hands over her breasts and then stood up, giving everyone a good look at her vagina too!
I wonder how many people that happened to over the pandemic. I’m sure the percentage is small, but considering the sheer number of people who started using Zoom (or similar) for work or school, I bet it adds up to a pretty good number.
I also have to wonder if there’s any chance that wasn’t an accident. The way you describe it playing out is almost too perfect.
The woman involved is somewhat gaffe-prone but it’s not out of the question she may have been using that reputation as cover to do it deliberately. Only she knows the answer in her heart of hearts.
Its not just the people who are using Zoom or something similar who accidentally got seen during a meeting naked. There have been incidents of naked people in the background who accidentally walk into the field of the camera. At least one such incident was shown on America’s Funniest Home Videos.
We had a near-miss in one of our meetings when we heard one woman scream and abruptly go off camera. She spared us the sight of her husband walking into the room au natrel after taking a shower.
