If this happens again, I say they make a teaching moment out of it. Get the photography class in there to do full photoshoots with each girl so there will be many copies available in case most get corrupted or go missing.
What if he’s not using them for actual medical records? To be sure he should post all the photos on the school website so anyone can verify the images aren’t being used improperly!
