I knew she was lying. Her name was not Jane Moore, she didn’t come from Toledo, Ohio, and she wasn’t registered PN, but there was no way of checking. So I let her back out on to the trail. I still don’t know why the chief ranger wants me checking PN status. They’re a lovely addition to the park.
