First, serial, for stories is multiple posts. Not to be confused with multi, which is for posts with multiple pictures. It’s basically the same thing as the sequel tag I used on tumblr, but I decided that wasn’t a very good name. As before, viewing this tag won’t necessarily show a series grouped together, e.g. Ink and Dye is a two-parter with a long gap, so other serial stuff shows up in between. The best way to see all the posts from a series is to plop the title in the search box (without the number). As always, let me know if you notice any posts missing this tag.

And perhaps more interestingly, bestof. This is a collection of some of the most “liked” posts. It’s not a straight “10 likes or more” deal or anything, because over time posts have garnered more likes over all. I’m not sure if that means more readers, or just more people using the like feature, but anyway that wouldn’t have been a fair measure. So instead what I did is go through posts on the admin screen, which shows 20 at a time, and tag the most liked post on each page (my vote to break ties), so theoretically it’s the top 5%.

My plan is to go back once a month pick new “bestofs” for the previous month. (i.e. posts that are at least one month old). That’s going to be a modest amount of extra work to manage compared to a normal tag, so I’d like any feedback on this, whether you think it’s a good idea at all, whether you agree the posts on that list are actually “good ones”, etc. This is still an experiment and I’m not sure it will stick around.

So as most of you probably know, a few days ago I posted a controversial image, namely an anime character who many people thought looked like a child. There was some debate, but honestly I’m inclined to agree. I took a poll about this. And naturally, like a good politician I’ve disregarded the results and taken the least popular option. Just kidding (mostly), it wasn’t a vote per se, but an opinion poll. And the results show a majority (almost 2/3) don’t think it’s a problem, but on the other hand, a third, which is still a significant number, do think it should either be removed or hidden. And so I’m going with the middle ground solution.

Thus far, 3 pictures, including the one that started this will be hidden until you click them. In the future I’m not sure what I’ll do. I’ll probably think twice about posting anything that would need this treatment again. But I won’t say never, and considering how ambiguous it can be, I hope this won’t stop people from submitting anime images in general or anything. Worst that can happen is I’ll say no.

I doubt anyone is terribly happy with this outcome, but it seemed like a fair compromise.

So a couple days ago I posted a submission that proved controversial. Although the caption implies the girl in the drawing is a college graduate, I’d have to agree she looks very much younger. (The image in question) I haven’t got that many #art submissions until fairly recently so I don’t really have a policy about it. (For photos of real people, they do of course have to be 18+, please let me know if you see any you have reason to think are not.) But I guess time has come that I need to think about how do handle this for drawings. The tricky part is that defining the age of a fictional character can be very hard, especially since the anime art style most of these are in tends to make everyone look pretty young.

I was tempted to try to make a poll about what people would personally consider too-young-looking but I realized it’s a bit too complicated a question for a simple multiple choice poll. If you have any thoughts on that, feel free to share them in the comments, but for the moment I’m going to focus on the easier part (even though that’s kind of backwards):

FYI It’ll probably take me a little while to get to everything. e.g. if I have comments on one of them you might not hear back from me right away, and if I don’t use one of yours for a couple days, don’t worry, it’s just due to the number of contributors at the same time.

Sorry about that. At least the error message was a little less scary this time. The problem was what it implied, my blog using too many resources. Had to upgrade to a more robust (and expensive) hosting plan. Not really happy about that, but what can ya do? Hopefully it’ll mean performance improves a little bit as a bonus. Didn’t get the most expensive plan though, so I still have to be a little careful. As such the recent changes (like 5 posts per page) will have to stay I suppose. We’ll see how it goes.

OK, so a couple times people have suggested adding new tags. And my main reason for not doing it is that it’s time-consuming to go through all the old pictures, which would need to be tagged too. But some people on Discord expressed willingness to help, so that should make it more practical. So before we get started on that, any tags you think are missing? Should be something that A) shows up in a significant number of pictures, but not like most of them and B) Something people might specifically want to find.

Current plans are for “kink”, which I think will be my preferred name for any kind of BDSM-ish theme. And something for “newd etiquette”, which I haven’t exactly decided on a name for, maybe “etiquette”, but that’s still a longer word than I like for tags.

Lastly, if you’re interesting in helping, hop on the Discord server and say hi. I made a new channel for this purpose.

Tagging project is now under way.

Haven’t got too many submissions the last few days and I’m running a little low. If you’ve been thinking about sending a caption, either again or for the first time, well I could definitely use some, is all I’m saying.

Also a quick reminder: putting your caption on the picture is not required. More people have been than not lately, but just sending the picture and caption as text is fine too. So if that’s what’s holding you back, don’t worry about it.

(They don’t have to be nudes, topless or bottomless is good too. :P)

Alright that pinned post was taking up too much space, and I trust everyone got a chance to see it. Anyway it looks like the discord server has been decently popular. So it has graduated to a main menu link. If you haven’t yet, click that and come join us.

At Megamegatron99’s suggestion I’ve created a Discord server. If you’re not familiar, it’s somewhere between a chatroom and a messenger service. (Or a bit like IRC for you old hands.) It can be accessed from the web, or a mobile app.

So anyway, come on in and discuss Nude World Order and related topics on a new platform. There’s also a “meta” channel for discussing the Discord server itself, so if you have any ideas about what I should do with it, feel free to weigh in.
