No prize, except if I like any of them I’ll repost this with my favorite and credit you. Comment here with your caption before Sunday the 13th.
A world where some people go naked at all times.
Please, if you’re concerned about an image, give me a link to the actual post, or tell me the title. Any other information about why you think it’s inappropriate would also be appreciated.
Someone sent a report saying “Possible illegal content”, but unfortunately the only other information included was a link to a tag page with 10 different images.
Looking over the page though, I’m guessing it was Ringleader that they found questionable. It’s apparently from a 2003 movie so it should be fine. If the person who submitted the report sees this (they also gave no contact info), please let me know if you meant a different picture or still have reason to believe the image isn’t OK.
My computer problem turn out to be much less serious than I feared (old computer so I kind of expected the worst). Turned out the graphics card had come unseated. So obviously blank screen, and the loose connection may have made it freak out in other ways too. But after tightening that is seem be in working order once more.
Previous message for anyone curious:
As you know, I’ve been busier with the holidays and all, and now the last thing I wanted to deal with has occurred – my computer died.
Well, I say “died” but I don’t really know if it’s repairable yet. It’s not usable for now though.
And needless to say I can’t do much on the blog without my computer. (Posted this from my phone, but that’s about all I can manage from here.)
I will of course be doing my best to get back up and running but I’m not sure exactly how long that will take.
I got a couple messages letting my know the “Random” function is broken. No clue what happened. I haven’t even updated anything too recently. I didn’t notice the problem myself, I suspect this means it’s caching related and logged in users are not affected. So until I have time to attempt a fix, you may need an account to use that feature. This certainly isn’t an intentional limitation, but it’s the only workaround I can offer at the moment.
Edit: I’ve had reports that logging in doesn’t help. I’m stumped then. Why is it still working for me??
Edit 2: Probably mostly fixed. If the problem persists, you most likely need to clear your cache. Or try Porn Mode. Apparently it was setting the page to cache for one week (still don’t quite know why) so it should clear up in 7 days if all else fails.
With the holiday season here, and the visiting family and such that implies, I’m gonna have to take it easy on the blog again for a while. Meaning fewer posts and a less regular schedule. Minimum one per day if at all possible, but probably 2 or 3 most of the time. And I’m also hoping to use this more relaxed pace to catch up on some other blog-related business. (Software updates, tagging, preping submissions and such.)
Speaking of which, I hope you all have a happy holiday season, and if you’ve got any Christmas (or Hanukkah, Solstace, etc) submission ideas, this would be a good time start thinking about sending them in.
Did some WordPress and plug-in updates (which I’d been putting off) BTW, so let me know if anything breaks. Probably nothing to worry about, but wanted to mention it just in case.
But oh man, it was worse than I thought, nearly 90 messages were stuck on my server. Not all of it is important, there’s a certain amount of automated messages and few bits of outright spam, but most of it is real communication from real people. And I’m real sorry for the delay in receiving it. Obviously I’ve got a backlog to work through now, so a little more patience will be required. I’ll first be getting back to anyone who sent a specific message or question and then try and catch up on submissions. Hopefully the generous supply (especially those that are ready to post) will allow my to increase my postings per day.
I have the absolute worst luck with email. So it seems I’ve been unable to receive email on my nudeworldorder.net account for some time. This includes submissions through the website. Since I never know when to expect a message, I don’t always notice right away when some thing goes wrong, but I admit it’s partly on me for not spotting the problem sooner.
The good news is this time no messages have been lost, it’s just that my email client is no longer on speaking terms with the server. Some kind of disagreement about security protocols. And no, I have no idea why that happened suddenly. But once I sort that out, I’ll be able to catch up on back mail. There’s a fallback option of a webmail client if nothing else works, but that’ll be a pain to use and I’d rather put effort into getting it working properly first.
Anyway, I apologize to those of you who sent submissions or other communication and seemingly got stonewalled. Hopefully I’ll be able to read your messages fairly soon.
In case anyone hadn’t figured it out yet, that whole PN-Zoom thing was an April Fools joke. I hope it was amusing. Here it is for posterity.
As many of you know, I’ve be struggling bandwidth issues for some time. For this reason, I’m not going to be able to offer full-size images anymore. I know this will be disappointing, but I think I found a solution to make it more acceptable, which I call “PN-Zoom”. I’ve been playing with an open source machine learning platform for image classification, and I’ve had pretty good results, so what I’ve done is configure it to isolate the most important parts of the images, and make them clickable, rather than the entire high-res image. I just put up a batch of new images using this system to test it out. For now, older pictures will work as before, but if everything goes smoothly I’m going to try and figure out how to process those the same way. So far it looks good though, and the only problem I’m seeing is that it conflicts with the WordPress comment hook.
The last three posts have been set back to normal (and comments enabled). For those who missed it, the goofy zoomable versions will be available here for a while at least.
PN stands for Permanently Naked. PM stands for Postmeridian (i.e. afternoon).
This probably seems random, but I’ve got multiple submissions with this error recently. So uhh, just try to avoid that. Keep your eye on auto-correct if you use that, I suspect it might be to blame.
