This is one very rare case where I would advocate for a woman to not shave. Since keeping her bush is keeping her naked, carry on. Don’t shave until you are ready to officially register PN.

She could have a friend do it for her. I’m sure someone would volunteer.
While I do prefer the bare look, I love a young lady who stands up for her beliefs — particularly when it results in her being permanently naked.
