do not confuse your educational summer vacation with the official summer season. From the summer solstice (June 21) to the Fall Equinox (Sept 21) marks the official summer season.
This California option generally means returning to classes naked for weeks.
When I originally came up with the this concept, the idea was largely to focus on unexpected gotchas like that. Another one might be that some other states that don’t have a 3-month registration for summer treat it as a full year, which could be a very unpleasant surprised when traveling.
TBH I never got around to writing too many of those captions though. I think there’s at least one other on the topic, that might be it.
