If I were the guy I would have agreed to pay the entire thing off if she agrees to register strict permanude for 30 years and marry me. A prenup would prevent divorce for any reason in that timeframe and deny her any access to the trust fund and place her on an allowance. Then and only then would I help her out.
To each their own. I don’t see it that way. I see it as getting the woman you want for a lifetime. She agreed to it and signed on the dotted line so it’s voluntary. Besides, in a world with PN lifestyles, I like the quid pro quo for her debt elimination. Arranged marriages as such, so long as voluntary, can be beneficial to both parties.
