The phrase “He thinks I’m ashamed” has me wondering.
Does she mean “he thinks I’m ashamed of my body but I am just modest”, and is upset by the current nudity and the possibility of the whole school seeing her naked?
or
does she mean “he thinks I’m ashamed of my body, but actually I love showing it off”, and is using a bit of acting to make him think he is right and hoping that he will decide to actually keep her naked after school starts — well into the semester?
Maybe she’s small breasted. Most girls think that they aren’t much to look at, when their breasts are small.
So, in a helpful parenting fashion, he’s taken her clothes, to help her see her own beauty.
She doesn’t want to go to school naked, because she doesn’t think there’s anything wrong with herself. Besides, everybody is going to ask where her clothes went, which is more embarrassing than being seen naked by all your friends.
